Dresses & Womenswear Trims — Shank Buttons, Bright Plating, Matched Repeats
Womenswear trims live hard lives in bright finishes: shank buttons on dresses, pearls on blouses, fine metal on occasion wear. We supply them with plating tested for hand wear and shade matched across re-orders — because on a dress, the trim IS the look, and a dull third run loses the customer.

Bright finishes go dull in weeks, and repeats never match the first run.
Fashion metal fails by appearance long before it fails mechanically. A shank button with thin plating keeps its shine through the photoshoot, through delivery, through try-on — and goes matte on the shop floor under the lights and the hands. The dress is fine. The button makes it look tired.
Repeats are the second trap. The dress sold, the buyer re-orders, and the new buttons arrive a half-step off — warmer pearl, pinker gold. Nobody changed the spec; the trim supplier just matched to whatever was running that week. On a bestseller that is a margin-eating problem.
And pearls and coated buttons have their own weather: perspiration, perfume, handling. A coating that survives a showroom does not always survive a wedding.
How we lock it down before bulk
Plating is specified in thickness and checked per batch, and finishes for occasion wear are wear tested against hand-and-perfume exposure, not just looked at. If a finish cannot stay bright through a season of fitting rooms, we say so before you buy it.
Every approved shade and finish is retained against the batch number. Re-orders are matched to the original approved lot with the spectrophotometer, and the comparison is on file — which is how a repeat looks like the first run instead of approximating it.
Pearl and coated buttons are rub and perspiration tested. Production team has 28 years in trims and 11 in-house testing machines; on fashion trims the value is not in the promise, it is in the lot you receive matching the sample you approved.
