What goes wrong
Three failures we test for before bulk
- Buttons deform under pressing iron. A soft resin button shines, warps or melts under a hot iron and the shirt comes back from the laundry. Urea holds its surface through pressing temperatures — that is why uniforms specify it.
- Brittle cracking on kidswear lines. Cheap fillers make buttons snap in the buttoning machine or crack in wear — on kidswear that becomes a safety complaint. We run torque and impact tests in-house before bulk ships.
- Bulk shade drifts from the approved card. The card says 'navy', bulk arrives closer to black. Urea takes dye evenly and we keep the approved master chip, so re-orders match the first lot.
Each of these is a claim on your P&L, not a technical detail. We test the condition your care label specifies and put the result in writing before production starts.

Why do uniform programs specify urea buttons?
Urea is a thermoset — it holds hardness and surface finish under the heat of pressing irons and industrial laundries, where softer resins dull or warp. That is why workwear and uniform buyers keep coming back to it.
What is the MOQ for a urea program?
Standing series colours ship as sample quantities immediately; bulk MOQ depends on size and colour — send the program and we quote the exact number.
Can you match a colour chip?
Yes. Send the Pantone number or physical chip; urea dyes evenly and we keep the master chip so re-orders match the first approved lot.
Are urea buttons safe for kidswear?
We run torque and impact tests in-house — the numbers go on the test sheet. For baby programs we also supply compliant alternatives and declare the material openly.
How do we get a quotation for urea buttons?
Send an RFQ with the series code, size in ligne, colour and annual quantity. We reply with a quotation and courier a colour card with sample buttons — the approval sample is signed before bulk production.
Do you work with nominated vendors on uniform programs?
Yes — we supply as the nominated button vendor, keep the approved master colour chip so re-orders match the first lot, and issue the test report with each shipment.
