What goes wrong
Three failures we test for before bulk
- Rough, fuzzy edges after the first wash. Unsealed wood raises its grain in water; the button that felt smooth in the sample bag scratches after five washes.
- Swelling and splitting in humid shipping. Wood takes on moisture at sea; the wrong moisture content arrives as warped or split buttons.
- Engraved logo too faint to sell. A logo burnt too lightly disappears; burnt too deeply it scorches the button face.
Each of these is a claim on your P&L, not a technical detail. We test the condition your care label specifies and put the result in writing before production starts.

Will bamboo buttons survive home washing?
The sealing layer is what decides it. We wash-test the sealed button to your care instruction and report the result — unsealed decorative stock is where the complaints come from.
Can you engrave our logo?
Yes. We control engraving depth to the button thickness so the logo stays legible without weakening the face, and send a sample for approval.
Is bamboo suitable for childrenswear?
For kidswear the attachment security and small-parts requirements come first. Tell us the market and age group and we state in writing what applies.
Do bamboo buttons match an eco certification story?
We provide a plant-material declaration; if your program also needs GRS trims elsewhere in the garment, our recycled range covers that with full documentation.
